Q

How long can Ambu BLUE SENSOR Electrodes sit outside of the packaging before use? Example, pre-loading them onto electrode cables and sitting outside of the box before they begin to lose effectiveness?

jon w.- On Saturday, 11 March 2023

A

According to the manufacturer of Ambu BLUE SENSOR Electrodes: It is very important not to pre-attach wet gel electrodes to the monitor leads prior to use. This exposes the electrode to the elements and expedites the drying out and deterioration of the gel. Doing so can cause poor readings and artifact. It is the recommendation of Ambu to only remove the electrodes from their package prior to immediate use.
